A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
Like most of you, I have fond memories from my childhood of seeing in my family's pantry that familiar blue canister with the little Morton Umbrella Girl sprinkling salt in the rain. This iconic product continues to be a staple in kitchens today, though it is now accompanied by other great Morton products such as sea salt and Kosher salt.
But the Morton story doesn't begin and end with the round blue canister. Morton Salt is now a part of people's everyday lives in more ways than one; helping at home, at work, on the road, and virtually everywhere in between. This may come as a surprise given that Morton table salt is perhaps our most recognizable offering. In fact however, we have an incredibly broad portfolio, offering the most diverse range of salt products in the industry.
In addition to consumer food salts, we are a leading provider of products designed to improve water quality, to keep roads and sidewalks clear of ice and snow, and to serve a wide range of industries such as food, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
Our portfolio has evolved over the years, thanks to the commitment of our employees and to the versatility of salt itself. Salt is one of the most common minerals in the world yet it is extremely versatile and effective across a wide range of applications.
Morton has understood the power of salt for more than 160 years, and we remain committed to exploring new ways to improve all that we have to offer in order to better the lives and businesses of our customers.
While we embrace change, I can tell you that the hallmarks of our brand – quality, integrity and trust – will live on because they are at the very core of everything we do. These values come to life each and every day through our people and our products.
I am extremely proud of what Morton Salt represents today and I am confident that you will be impressed with what we will look like in the future. I thank you for following our journey through this Web site, and I thank you for your business.
Mark Roberts
