Seasonal Orchard Salad & Balsamic Vinaigrette with Apples & Blue Cheese

Ingredients 
2 bags (10-12 ounces each) Spring green salad mix
2 Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
2 Fuji apples, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
1 package (4-1/2 ounces) blue cheese crumbles, reserve 1 tablespoon

Morton's Balsamic Vinaigrette:
1/2 cup olive or vegetable oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon reserved Blue cheese crumbles
1/2 teaspoon Morton® Coarse Kosher Salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
In medium bowl, combine ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
 

 

Directions

In large bowl, combine spring greens, apples, cranberries, and walnuts and blue cheese except for reserved portion. Toss with Morton’s Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Serve immediately

Tip:
 Spring green mix (also known as Mesclun mix) may include any or all of the following: baby lettuces (Red & Green Romaine, Red & Green Oak leaf, Lollo Rosa, Tango), Baby Spinach Leaves, Red & Green Chard, Mizuna, Arugula, Frisee, and Radicchio. The ingredients in each package may vary.
 Serve salad with roasted garlic mini pitas.
