Directions
In large glass bowl, combine tomatoes with oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cover and allow to marinate in a cool spot (not refrigerated) for about 2 hours.Cook pasta according to package directions, substituting Morton® Lite Salt® Mixture or Morton® Salt Balance® Salt Blend. Reserve 1/2 cup cooking liquid, then drain. Toss pasta with pasta liquid and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Season the tomato sauce with remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper; stir in basil. Toss tomato sauce with pasta. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired. Serve immediately or at room temperature.
